Hi guys, how have you all been doing? I am working on a few stories right now and have a lot of backlog but here's a fun edit for all you girls who love wearing dresses for every event; so lets Get dressy with Pantaloons! Many a times I get this question as to what dress do I wear to a particular given event and so I decided to create 4 looks you can wear on various occasions. All those who have been reading my blog for a while might know that I am not a person who wears dresses too often. What I usually love wearing is an outfit with two pieces as it helps me reuse them in different ways. But here I have tried to create different looks wearing dresses but gave it a personal touch, either by layering it or by picking up a piece of clothing which can be reused and worn in different ways. Not forgetting, all of this while keeping a reasonable budget in mind! LOOK 1 I am not the kind of person who wears ethnic very often but I do love trying out different looks. This is a Fusion look I created with a tunic dress from Akkriti, a bit on the Indian side with its golden detailing at the neck, and layered it with a long white lace cape, again from Akkriti. The whole look speaks for itself and hence you don't really need too many accessories. I completed the look by wearing a sleek pair of golden heels and voilà, you are ready to go to a family event or even a party!
For all those women who work too hard but still don't want to give up being in vogue, here is a formal look which is so smart and comfortable. I absolutely love the pattern of this dress from Annabelle with its black panels at the sides and the printed panel at the centre. This creates an illusion and makes you look slimmer, I mean who doesn't like that? Haha! I love monochrome dresses and this one is so smart yet comfortable with its thick and rich fabric. I added a pop of colour with the help of my heels and tied my hair back into a ponytail. Wear this look to your office and you could just let your hair down and alter your makeup a bit and wear it for an office party.
LOOK 3 This is a look that is a bit on the unconventional side, but come on I'm assuming by now you all might know I absolutely love experimenting and trying out new things. I picked up this powder blue long top with subtle white stripes from SF Jeans and decided to wear it as a dress. Yes, like a dress! We have been wearing skirts with slits or long dresses with a slit or two, so why not a dress with side slits?!! The slits don't start very high so that is something you don't have to worry about it and you can always wear a pair of shorts underneath to increase the comfort level. To add to this edgy and bold look, I went for my boots in the similar shade. You can wear this for a brunch, day out with friends or even while on vacation.
LOOK 4 Basic outfits are something that I absolutely love, so when it comes to dresses, I obviously love the basic solid coloured ones. This grey skater dress from Candie's New York with its turtleneck is so smart and fits like a dream! The key to rock these basic dresses is by finding the perfect size and fit! To give this look an edge, I added a jacket from Annabelle in a contrasting colour and went for my new favourite boots in the similar colour. To complete the look, I went for a dark shade of lipstick, which makes you look fierce. You can wear this outfit for casual day out by skipping the lipstick or rock this look at a party!
